Maggie Dykstra

  • Academic Coordinator, Kessler Provost Scholars Program

Maggie Dykstra (she/her) serves as the Academic Coordinator for the Kessler Provost Scholars Program, which provides holistic academic, financial, and social support to exceptional students who are among the first in their family to attend college. In this role, she advises, coaches, and coordinates academic interventions. She also facilitates and plans Kessler Scholar, Provost Scholar, Provost Academy, and university-wide academic sponsored activities, such as the Academic Success Academy. Additionally, Maggie serves as the main point of contact for the First at Pitt initiative, which connects first-generation Pitt community members and their advocates through a variety of efforts and programming. 

Maggie holds a bachelor’s degree History and a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. She is also a Certified Academic Coach through the Association for the Coaching and Tutoring Profession. 

Maggie can be contacted to support students through academic coaching, to collaborate on student-centered workshops, and to continue Pitt's support of first-generation students through First at Pitt.
